Visitor Assistance: Campground visitor attendants welcome and provide information to arriving campers and visitors. They offer guidance on available camping spots, amenities, and recreational activities in the area. They may answer questions about the rules and regulations of the campground, ensuring that visitors understand and follow the guidelines.

Registration and Check-In: Attendants handle the registration and check-in process for new arrivals. This may involve processing paperwork, collecting fees, and providing campers with relevant permits or passes.

Campsite Maintenance: Ensuring that campsites are clean, safe, and well-maintained is an essential part of the job. Campground attendants may perform routine inspections of sites to identify any hazards or issues that need attention. They might also coordinate with maintenance staff for necessary repairs or cleaning.

Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service is crucial in this role. Campground attendants must be friendly, approachable, and responsive to camper needs and concerns. They should be able to handle difficult situations with tact and patience, resolving conflicts or complaints when they arise.

Educational Support: Attendants may offer information about the natural environment, wildlife, and local attractions. They might provide guidance on hiking trails, fishing spots, or other outdoor activities available in the area.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced customer service environment

  • Operational duties including fee collection, entering reservations, greeting customers and selling/renting products

  • Maintenance duties including cleaning of washroom building, shower building, day-use areas and campsites

  • Ability to use lawnmowers/tractors, weed trimmers, and backpack blower

  • Ensure guests are welcomed into the campground with enthusiasm

  • Patrol campground to ensure guests are following rules and gain compliance

  • Ability to work both evening shifts and weekends

  • Ability to use computers, tablets and online reservation system

  • Reliable transportation

  • Host must have their own RV unit

  • Current First Aid Level 1

  • Criminal Record Check before hiring
