About the Role
Are you interested in spending a summer outdoors on the banks of the Fraser River? We are currently looking for a host couple or individual to workcamp at the Municipal Campground in Lillooet, BC.
Cayoosh Creek Campground has roughly 40 sites and a washroom/shower building. 17 sites have services and the rest are non-serviced. The campground is beautifully nestled on the edges of the Fraser and Seton Rivers. It is located in town and is within walking distance to downtown. Seton lake is a 5 minute drive from the campground.
The host site has electricity and water and is centrally located in the campground. There is no sewer at the host site. However, there is a Sani station across the campground road. The host must have their own RV unit that is well maintained and in good shape. The position is from mid May to Thanksgiving. This is a full-time paid position with the wage depending on the applicant's experience. Payment is a daily rate plus the serviced site for the season. This position requires the use of an online reservation system, meaning the applicant must be proficient in computer and internet use.
The work required for this position is a mix of maintenance and guest services. The maintenance aspect of the position focuses on cleaning of park facilities (including sites and washroom building), painting, mowing, and other tasks. This work is completed in the morning to early afternoon.
The guest services aspect of the position focuses on fee collection and customer service. This part of the job would see the host interacting with all guests of the campground. The host would be responsible for collecting all fees at the campground and explaining the rules and regulations to those guests.
